No, worries Warrior, you did not miss anything.
Initially there was no part 2 to the original piece of “The Dream of Me” posted on last week, however there were are a few things that have tugged at my heart, leaving me to believe the “Dream of Me” is unfinished in a few ways.
So, I bow my head to pray and allow my heart to take a position of submission. This is not about me. This is about “The Dream of Us”. Let’s Go Warrior
Though God may be awaiting my whispers for “The Dream of Me”, there is a dream that you are dreaming. There is a dream that you have already dreamt. There is a dream that you are waiting for. Trusting for. Believing for. Seeing for. Making space for. Holding onto for. There is a dream that you are hoping for.
May I encourage you, as I gain strength from you about dreaming ….
Make sure to dream BIG...dream a dream that has you believing and knowing, this is not about me. This dream is on GOD!
This is not about starting a business, a new job, writing a book, going back to school, having the baby, or getting married, or even buying the house. Any of these things and yet all of these things are absolutely perfect in context. These things are merely tangible expressions of God’s desires, and dream for us.
Psalm 37:4 NKJV states, “Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” However, I love the AMPC version, which states, “Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.” This verse is fire! There is so much here! And it is all beautiful.
There are a couple items that are noteworthy here:
1. Focus on your relationship with God. Not the dream. The dream will come. Or, it may be that you will discover that your dreams were too small for what the Father really wants to do. You may have wanted a piece of a cookie, when he wants to give you the entire dozen (my dream not yours-lol); however, you would not know that if you do not authentically spend time with him in his WORD. In God’s WORD, he is able to love you, show you, and strengthen you for your original design and promise, which is what he desired for you all along.
2. Those secret petitions are those prayers that you have not yet spoken to him about. And trust me, he already knows. In fact he is waiting on you. He is waiting on you to speak them so he can get to work. When you speak what is unspeakable, it builds intimacy with the Father. God is able to see into places inside you. He is able to see the hurt. See the pain. See the apprehension. See the doubt. See the fear. To see what kept you from speaking your unspeakable. And here’s the thing, he is able to not just see it, but deal with it. God desires an ever flowing constant freedom of verbal exchange. He want you to come to him at any time, any place, and tell him anything. He wants to see into you. He wants to see into me.
So my Warrior friend, as of this day, we will not just dream, we will delight ourselves in him, and he will give us our desires of our hoping, waiting, joyful and loving hearts. Enjoy the Father as you enjoy the dream of you.
